Twin Room had a comfy bed that filled a crater from years of use, perfect for a solo traveler. Nice beer selection available, which always helps.
Electric sockets were a bit quirky-RCD type that required resetting for standard plugs.

It was suitable place for travelling to Alton, I was glad to stay there. The staff was super-friendly and very very nice all the time. The location was fab, adjacent to the local church, the popular pub in Alton, and Canterbury and Winchester, in a local area.

Historical room charm, engaging live entertainment, community-oriented experience
The shower water pressure left much to be desired!!! Unpleasant odors from air fresheners and dirty bathrooms need immediate attention!!! Limited parking options created unnecessary hassle!!! Proper maintenance would enhance guest comfort !!!

Absolutley dreadful stay. The green light from the broken emergency exit light kept me up all night, whilst the loud disco ended at 1 am-unacceptable! I would have expected a welcome gift or maybe an upgrade, but alas, none in sight! Unbelievably disappointing after all those lovely photos. Just couldn't recommend, really.

The Crown is a lovely old fashioned pub with rooms dating back to the 15th century, full of quirky charm. I stayed in a Twin Room with Bathroom, with a comfy bed, large bright windows, and an always hot shower. The pub downstairs serves excellent food, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The twin room I stayed in was warm and bright, thanks to the large windows. I loved the quirky charm from its historical roots dating back to the 15th century. The bed was comfy with clean sheets, and the shower had consistent hot water, a plus. It did get a bit noisy with pub activity downstairs, but it added to the lively vibe of the place.
